What is SaiCares?
SaiCares is a new region-wide service initiative in the Mid-Atlantic Region (USA), aiming to provide assistance to fellow Sai members who are confronted with personal crisis. In other words, SaiCares is a helpline service for Sai Center members who are undergoing personal challenges or have unmet life needs.
When did SaiCares start?
SaiCares began in July 2019.
How does SaiCares help individuals and families?
SaiCares is a helpline service for Sai center members who are undergoing personal challenges and are in need of assistance.
How can I contact SaiCares?
Are there any age restrictions to make a call to SaiCares?
No, SaiCares is for all age groups.
Can the caller text the SaiCares number?
SaiCares will only be available to talk over the phone.
Can the caller call anytime (day or night)?
Yes, the SaiCares phone line will be open 24/7. If no one is available to answer your call, please feel free to leave a message or email us at saicares@sairegion2usa.org and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Can the caller request to speak to a male, female or a young adult?
Yes, callers can make a request to speak to either a male, female or a young adult. SaiCares will try our best to meet your needs in this regard.
Do callers have to speak English or do they have translators available?
SaiCares team will generally speak in English. However, if the caller can't communicate in English, we do provide Spanish, Hindi, Sindhi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, and Marathi speaking volunteers.
What geographic locations does SaiCares serve?
SaiCares is currently in the Mid-Atlantic Region (USA), that includes DE, MD, NJ, PA, VA, WV, and New York City, Long Island, and Washington DC
Do you respond to all inquiries?
SaiCares will try our best to address all inquiries.
Are the volunteers professionals?
SaiCares will try to provide both professional and volunteer resources.
If for some reason I want to get a second opinion with another professional or be able to speak to another volunteer - will I be able to?
SaiCares will assist in providing a secondary contact.
Is there a fee?
SaiCares does not take any fees. SaiCares is a free voluntary service.
Is SaiCares confidential?
SaiCares respects the privacy of all callers.
Does SaiCares record the calls? If so, Why?
SaiCares does not record calls.
What does SaiCares do with my information?
Information is stored in our SaiCares database and is provided to committee members and volunteers on a need to know basis.
Do you have support groups?
SaiCares does not have any support groups currently.
How can I help or become a volunteer?
SaiCares would love your help as a volunteer. Please register yourself on the website saicares.org/volunteer.html
Is there a SaiCares App?
At this time, SaiCares does not have a mobile app.
